Análisis del fenómeno El Niño Costero por el método de las palabras asociadas

Resumo

Este estudio analiza las noticias publicadas en los diarios La República y El Peruano en la ciudad de Lima-Perú, durante los meses de febrero a mayo del 2017 acerca del fenómeno El Niño Costero, para intentar comprender el contexto y la orientación de las noticas. Se analizaron las palabras dentro del cuerpo textual tal y cual aparecieron en cada uno de los documentos recuperados. Las palabras textuales fueron “leídas” con ayuda del software libre TextStat 3.0, y la construcción de las palabras clave de los artículos periodísticos fue realizada con el software Linguakit. Las palabras claves seleccionadas fueron normalizadas y transferidas a R, un lenguaje de programación enfocado en el análisis estadístico con el algoritmo del paquete MPA.

Ruben Alvarado Urbizagastegui, Universidade da California em Riverside

Nascido no Perú estudou Biblioteconomia na Escola Nacional de Bibliotecários e Antropologia na Universidade Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, ambos na cidade de Lima. Fez o Mestrado em Ciência da Informação no Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnología da Universidade Federal de Rio de Janeiro (IBICT/UFRJ) assim como o Mestrado em Biblioteconomia na Universidade de Pittsburgh (Pensilvania, Estados Unidos). Também fez estudos de pós-graduação em Sociologia e Comunicação Social na Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Obteve o grau de doutor na Escola de Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brasil). Tem publicado artigos nas revistas nacionais e internacionais más prestigiosas do campo da Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia. Participa regularmente em congressos e eventos da especialidade apresentando resultados de pesquisas em bibliometría, informação e ideologia, e sociologia da informação. Atualmente trabalha como Bibliotecário na Universidade de Califórnia, Riverside, nos Estados Unidos.
