About the Journal

The Logeion: Filosofia da Informação is a publication linked to the Philosophy and Information Policy Research Group of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology – IBICT. To welcome the diversity of theoretical approaches and points of view, the magazine publishes original and unpublished articles, and essays, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

Focus and Scope

This journal focuses on articles, reviews and essays on Information Philosophy, especially practical philosophy issues such as ethics andinformation policy. As the scope, the journal seeks to promote the discussion of the social uses of language, especially the mediations by digital technologies of information and communication stemming from the contemporary scene; address critically current demands, as the theory of information, working with information, information and communication policies, beyond the ontological and epistemological studiesof the field of information and communication.

Peer Review Process

Papers will be submitted for approval to renowned specialists in the subject matter. The papers will be sent to review without authorship identification (informed through the journals online management system, Open Journal Systems - OJS) to ensure a proper blind peer-review process.
