This paper discusses the relationship between lying, factual truth and technology. The so-called “organized lie” process, which began in the 20th century, currently assumes apocalyptic proportions and was addressed by Gunther Anders, Paul Virilio and Hannah Arendt, authors whose reflections on the subject are resumed and updated in relation to the contemporary scenario. The relationship between factual truth and lies and the effects that speed and excess of information, images and data have on it are discussed, as well as the apocalyptic vision that Anders, Arendt and Virilio built about this process.
