Este estudo discute questões inerentes à invenção do informacional e seus desdobramentos sobre o fenômeno arquivístico, a partir de uma reflexão elaborada com base nos argumentos da Arquivologia. A análise pressupõe que a contemporaneidade da dimensão informacional dos arquivos contribui para esclarecer a complexidade das relações entre arquivo e suas funções de uso social. Como metodologia propõe-se um exercício de caracterização da noção de informação na contemporaneidade e, em especial, na perspectiva dos arquivos. O campo empírico apresenta-se em torno de dois eixos explicativos: a invenção do informacional da contemporaneidade e a dimensão informacional nos arquivos. O estudo proporciona uma problematização sobre o fenômeno arquivístico sob certas argumentações consagradas, como a centralidade no aspecto material dos acervos, e ilumina a dimensão informacional como horizonte de ampliação de conhecimento sobre a existência e as funções dos arquivos.

THE INFORMATIONAL DIMENSION OF THE ARCHIVAL PHENOMENON

This paper discusses issues related to the invention of informational phenomena and its consequences on the archival phenomenon from reflections based on Archivist arguments. The analysis assumes that the contemporary of the informational dimension of the archives helps to clarify the complex relationship between files and its function on social use. As methodology it is proposed an exercise which characterizes the information notion on the contemporary, especially in the particular in view of the archive. The empirical field comes from two explanatory axes: the contemporary invention of the informational, and informational dimension in the archives. The study provides a questioning about the archival phenomenon under certain consecrated arguments, such as the centrality of the material aspect of the collections, and illuminates the informational dimension as the horizon of expansion of knowledge about the existence and functions of the archives.
