Abstract

This article shows the results of a search in international databases on Habermas' theory of communicative action in the field of Organizational Administration. Habermas' theory was developed after his linguistic shift, breaking with the philosophy of consciousness and metaphysics in 1981. In it, the uses of language are modes of expression and representation, but also a way of building social bonds. From this theory, Habermas develops the idea of discourse as communicative action oriented towards understanding, and elaborates an ethics of discourse and a deliberative policy. The entry of Habermas's work into Administration precedes his linguistic shift, and the use of his thesis "Structural change in the public sphere" should be highlighted. In this article, we want to highlight the relations established between the philosophy of language and Administration, both in theoretical and practical agreements. Among the theoretical aspects, theoretical studies of knowledge stand out, including epistemology. Among the practical aspects are questions of practical philosophy, ethics and politics. The aim is thus to present the potential of Habermas' philosophy for research and work in Organizational Administration.
