Based on the analysis of the main factors driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its current stage
of evolution, and considering the possible social and economic impacts, particularly regarding the
elimination of traditional jobs and the creation of new occupations, this article examines the importance
of Basic Education, with a focus on the necessary adaptation of teaching methodologies, as ways of
facing the challenges and taking advantage of new the opportunities that arise.
