There is a philosophy of difference that needs to be more considered in our times, since it opposes the identitarian philosophical tradition from the pre-Socratics to the present time, which obstinately clings to the idea of identity, which glimpses the real only through reference to the identical. In this perspective, the yearnings and peculiarities of the most diverse social movements need to be heard more effectively by philosophy and science. Even in the exact sciences, theory is not eternal, let alone in applied social sciences, as it is in information science, and consequently, in the organization of knowledge. Having said this, this work aims to interrelate some historical aspects of general epistemology with feminist epistemologies, highlighting the post-structuralist current. And, thus, to understand some of its unfoldings in the organization of knowledge, in order to understand if it is willing to incorporate new practices, based on the claims of movements such as the feminist one. We can see that beyond all the historicity of power relations that have deep and very old roots, there is nowadays a group unconcerned about ratifying new practices that are more humanized and coherent in various spheres, among which is the organization of knowledge, not only for political but also for economic reasons.
