Competência informacional com vistas à mulher em situação de violência

Violence against women is a global reality established in gender inequalities and perpetuated by cultural and social discourses. Access and use of accurate and up-to-date information on different forms of violence are fundamental to breaking the cycle of aggression and lack of knowledge about rights and protection laws. From this perspective, it is necessary to understand informational behavior and promote the Informational Competence of women victims of gender-based violence. This article aims to make considerations about the social, political and operational deficiencies that exist in the sphere of support and protection for women victims of violence. As a result, it proposes the construction of a network model based on the intersection of women-information-support and protection bodies against violence(s), based on information skills at the same time.
