TECHNOLOGICAL PROSPECTION ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN COMPUTER PROGRAMS REGISTERED IN INPI

There is a growing number of computer program registrations focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The objective of this study was to conduct prospective research of computer programs on AI. The Web of Science, Scopus and the database of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) were consulted in search of scientific articles and programs on AI registered between 2011 and 2023. A total of 107 registrations of programs related to the subject were found, more than half of which were submitted in the last 3 years. The main programming languages, types and fields of application of the programs and the main articles on AI were identified. Finally, a predictive model for registering programs on AI was generated using the Weka data mining software and the data collected in the scientific databases. A strong relationship was observed between the number of scientific publications and the number of computer program registrations in the INPI database, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.939.
