Este artículo analiza el proceso de valoración documental en archivos web desde la perspectiva de la inclusión social, buscando comprender cómo la literatura sobre valoración documental puede contribuir a la construcción de archivos web que promuevan la justicia social. El objetivo general es identificar, en la literatura archivística y en algunos casos empíricos, elementos que sugieran formas de construir archivos web acordes con los principios de la justicia social. A efectos metodológicos, se adoptó la investigación bibliográfica y documental. Se presentaron diez iniciativas de archivos web. Se reconoce la necesidad de replantear los procesos de evaluación de contenidos web, teniendo en cuenta los diversos contextos culturales y las desigualdades sistémicas que pueden dar lugar a la pérdida permanente de registros históricos. Se argumenta que los archivos web exigen que se tengan en cuenta las dimensiones culturales que influyen en las decisiones de preservación. Este estudio ofrece una visión de la valoración en el archivado web que sirve de punto de partida para futuras investigaciones.
