THE MATURITY OF THE DISSEMINATION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY KNOWLEDGE IN RELATION TO SMALL ENTREPRENEURS

The study developed in this article aims to assess the maturity of knowledge about the use of intellectual property by small entrepreneurs and to analyze the dissemination of this use of IP in a general context. Furthermore, actions aimed at expanding knowledge and applications of intellectual property for small entrepreneurs will be presented, analyzing an entire context of entrepreneurship, mainly in terms of opportunities and needs. It is known that there is a large portion of society, specifically the target of the research, in this case small entrepreneurs, who do not know the importance of rights and duties related to intellectual property, in addition to its benefit in the development of new technological products, as well as the legal protection of intangible assets, such as trademarks, patents, industrial designs, geographical indications, copyrights. Qualitative and quantitative methodology were used in the production of the article, by obtaining data from exploratory research. The collected data were analyzed through exploratory research through articles and data from public bodies and described throughout the production. In addition, it will be shown how this level of knowledge and possible uses of the IP system are being carried out, as well as how it has impacted the use of this knowledge in the activities of these entrepreneurs, since innovation, when properly stimulated, contributes to the process of generating wealth and consequently a better quality of life for the population.
