A propósito de inclusão de uma nova matéria: "Informação, Ciência e Sociedade" no Curso de Mestrado da ECO-UFRJ/IBICT, considerações são levantadas sobre as relações entre a Ciência da Informação e as Ciências Humanas. Através de várias disciplinas e linhas de pesquisa a serem desenvolvidas, pretende-se sejam aprofundadas questões intrínsecas e extrínsecas às áreas.

Abstract
A new area of study and research — Information, Science and Society — has been included in the ECO-UFRJ/IBICT Master's Program. As a result, some considerations are made about the relationships between Information and the Human Sciences. It is hoped that these questions can be pursued sístematically by means of specific courses and research projects.
