Abstract

A automação dos processos de manutenção e controle de periódicos, utilizando microcomputador,abrange as diferentes bibliotecas da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, sendo utilizada nas atividades de aquisição, circulação, incluindo registro da frequência de utilização, e na atualização de dados para o Catálogo Coletivo Nacional de Publicações Periódicas, do IBICT.

Automation using microcomputer in the library system of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The automation of serials maintenance and control, using microcomputer, was implemented for the library system of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. The system is used for acquisition activities, circulation, including frequency of use, and data up-dating for the national union catalog of serials of IBICT.
