Posicionamentos Políticos nos Estudos da Temática do Software Livre | Political positions in the study of free software

Resumo Através de uma análise da evolução do mercado de softwares, até a criação do software livre, o objetivo deste artigo foi revisar algumas das interpretações existentes na literatura sobre a temática da produção de software livre na economia contemporânea. Ao estabelecer uma conexão entre a diferenciação do setor de softwares e as categorias que orientam os agentes da produção de software livre, foi possível identificar que boa parte das interpretações acadêmicas incorpora estas categorias como categorias de análise e, com base nelas, assume um posicionamento diante da temática, que não põem em questão a particularidade dos pontos de vista dos próprios agentes.

Abstract Based on an analysis of the evolution of the software market, up to the creation of free software, the purpose of this article was to review some of the interpretations in the literature about production of free software in the contemporary economy. By establishing a connection between the software market differentiation and the categories that orient free software production agents, it was possible to identify that most of the academic interpretations incorporate those categories into their analysis and, by doing so, end up assuming a position in favour of the thematic that does not question the particularity of the agents' own point of views.
