ABSTRACT The article is an essay and is organised in three parts. First of all, I undertake an analysis on the digital historicity term. After that, I present some technical definitions that characterizing the digital, as well as I debate on academic and technological experiences that, in the 1940s and 1950s, used this term to refer to processes of electronic data systematization. In the third part of this essay, I reflect on some of the contemporary directions of the digital, problematizing the conformations of the dark web.
