Platforms have redefined the notions of labor autonomy and sovereignty and the ways to overcome precariousness. Federated platform cooperativism is a possible alternative. However, nuances of the North-South context affect its development. The aim of this study is to analyze the similarities and particularities of federated platform cooperativism movements in the North-South context, comparing the cases of CoopCycle (Europe), CoopCycle Argentina and Liga Coop (Brazil). Theoretical and case data was obtained through bibliographical research, desk research and semi-structured interview with the president of Liga Coop. The extended case study method was used to compare experiences and reflect on the North-South context. It was concluded that federations are important for boosting platform cooperativism and promoting a digital solidarity economy. However, the experiences must take contextual specificities into account in their development.
