In this interview, Emiliano Treré and Tiziano Bonini discuss the main arguments of their book Algorithms of Resistance: the everyday fight against platform power, in which they propose a critical and situated approach to everyday forms of algorithmic resistance. In dialogue with authors such as Michel de Certeau and Stuart Hall, the researchers analyze resistance tactics and strategies adopted by various actors — including conservative movements — and reflect on the limits, tensions, and potentialities of these practices. They also advocate for the urgent need to reimagine the relationship between society and technology, emphasizing cooperation, activism, and solidarity.
