Evolução histórica de investigação em informetria

Resumo

O artigo trata da evolução histórica da Informetria e está baseado no Manual de Informetria, usado na Universidade Carlos III de Madrid (Espanha). Para analisar a evolução da Informetria como especialidade científica analisam-se as contribuições mais significativas sobre Estudos Métricos da Informação (EMI) – do ponto de vista espanhol -, que foram estruturadas em três grupos. O primeiro está dedicado às origens e definições, de forma a apresentar a Informetria, como uma disciplina específica dentro dos Estudos Métricos da Informação. O segundo grupo apresenta os eventos históricos relacionados com as investigações na área. O terceiro é uma proposta de representação, por meio de uma figura, das maiores influências na evolução histórica da área, e de algumas sugestões sobre o uso da Informetria, como forma de abordagem em estudos futuros. Outras revisões de literatura da área da Informetria foram adicionadas ao artigo, como forma de atualizar os dados e fortalecer o respectivo conteúdo.
