O princípio da garantia semântica revisitado à luz dos estudos da linguagem

A garantia semântica é considerada o princípio aplicado à construção, desenvolvimento e avaliação de sistemas de organização do conhecimento (SOCs) para justificar e validar significados. Objetiva-se neste artigo apresentar “esboços de paisagens” que contribuam para a pavimentação do estrado epistemológico representado pelo princípio da garantia semântica na organização do conhecimento (OC). Para isso, recorre-se ao pensamento de dois filósofos da linguagem – Ludwig Wittgenstein e Mikhail Bakhtin – para conduzir as reflexões. Demonstra-se que a promoção de significado útil e adequado às linguagens documentárias requer condições de reconhecimento de autoridades cognitivas que equilibrem a sensibilidade necessária para provocar o desvelamento de significados úteis em SOCs, sendo este o papel do princípio da garantia semântica.
