Journalism adrift in the post-truth sea: the search for truth as a method

ABSTRACT As part of an applied research in the development of a fact-checking automation tool, this article proposes a bibliographical review of the concept of truth and post-truth and, through the exposition of the terms adopted by Brazilian fact-checking services, the need of the method in the definition of truth as a safeguard of journalism and in the production of news in the digital environment.
