The article proposes a reflection on the mediation of information based on ancestral knowledge of contemporary Capoeira Angola, in line with a proposal of the gyro-decolonial project and highlighting the importance of mediation of information in the struggle against the narrative of modernity and coloniality of power. It is supported by the notions of coloniality, decoloniality and decolonial turn; corporate performance. The reflection comprises a notion of the body as a support for the materiality of information as a central element of the process of resistance in the anti-colonial struggles between capoeiristas, in the confrontation of the hegemonic power in the historiography of Capoeira Angola. The article also reflects on the need to rethink the epistemological bases that support the action of information mediation and questions, which mediations stand out in studies, and investigations that can contribute to anti-racist struggles and against the social inequalities - an theme in discussion in the field of Information Science
