Este artigo descreve e propõe reflexões sobre algumas tendências de Ciência Aberta ligadas ao que se vem chamando ciência cidadã e pesquisas abertas ou cadernos científicos abertos. Esses são projetos que pressupõem um potencial universal de contribuição à produção de conhecimento, e substituem funções e limites de instituições enrijecidas por plataformas on-line e espaços físicos em constante reconfiguração que habilitam, e servem aos interesses de, comunidades de produção de conhecimento.
