Discusses the role of virtual environments from postage and shared of photographs in network, in the constitution of the virtual memory about the city. Qualitative study conducted in July 2014, analyzes the information circulating on Flickr shared in Moinhos de Vento – Porto Alegre, group were created to show, through pictures, the characteristics of Moinhos de Vento district. Concludes that the photographic images shared in the virtual environments help forming a memory of the city.
