This article is part of a project that seeks to map the studies of political economy of communication in Brazil. It analyzes the contents of the Eptic Online Journal from 2009 to 2014. The journal plays an important role not only in the consolidation of this subfield, but also in the effort to develop critical thought on communication. Focusing on the last six years, the article analyzes developments in the epistemological approach adopted by the journal as well as the relevance of special dossiers published, reflecting the exchange with other social sciences and the expansion of certain topics in the communication field itself.
