Technology transfer seeks to transfer knowledge and innovations from one organization to another, and is considered an important instrument for promoting competitiveness in the productive sector, as well as for the industrial and economic development of nations. To achieve the proposed objective, support structures and technology transfer management practices are necessary. Thus, the present study aims to analyze how the technology transfer management theme has been explored recently in national and international research. This is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, carried out through a systematic review of the literature. The results present studies that are related to the theme and allow classifying them into three groups: technology transfer models, collaborative technology transfer processes and analysis of technology transfer management. The studies reveal that, currently, the technology transfer process does not meet the needs and complexities of the relationships that are established for this purpose, requiring greater interaction between the interested parties, as well as considering the different aspects that permeate this process. Technology transfer offices are structures for the management of technology transfer, however, they need to be strengthened to ensure the success of technology transfer. For future studies, it is suggested to carry out further research in different databases, as well as to carry out analyzes and comparisons of the technology transfer process in developing countries.
