Abstract

O presente trabalho busca articular o conceito de raridade bibliográfica e a importância do estabelecimento de critérios de raridade em bibliotecas universitárias. Apresenta os critérios estabelecidos e adotados pela Biblioteca Central da Universidade de Caxias do Sul (UCS).

How to define and identify rare books? Criteria adopted by the Central Library of the University of Caxias do Sul

Abstract

The present work searches for articulating the concept of bibliographical rarity and the importance of the establishment of criteria of rarity in university libraries. It presents the criteria established and adopted by the Central Library of the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS).
