A informação e a evolução dos centros de informação a serviço de mudanças culturais

Num momento em que as reflexões filosóficas sobre o conhecimento têm contribuído para configurar o advento de uma " nova cultura", coloca-se o problema de saber qual o papel da informática no desenvolvimento dessa cultura e seus efeitos na Ciência da informação. O uso do computador nos centros documentários possibilita uma maior diversidade de análises documentárias. Essa diversidade parece ser mais adequada às estruturas culturais do homem moderno.
Abstract
Now that philosophical reflections about knowledge have contributed to the advent of a "new culture", the problem of knowing which role plays Data Processing in thedevelopment of this culture and its effects on Information Science presents itself. The use of the computer in documentary centers makes possible a greater diversity of documentary analysis. This diversity seems to be more adequate to the cultural structures of modern man.
