Estudo sobre aspectos teóricos e práticos da tradução e adaptação de tesauros, com o auxilio da Ciência da lnformação. Linguística e Tradutologia. Analisa a tradução dos descritores e não-descrítoresc omo estabelecimento do termo equivalente da língua-fonte para a língua-alvo. Os princípios lingüísticos são aplicados na transferência da língua-fonte para a língua-alvo. São abordados alguns aspectos relacionados aos problemas de tradução detesauros, tais como: normas gramaticais; equivalência linguística, sinonímia; homonímia; polissemia; cognatos e falsos cognatos; empréstimos e neologismos. Os exemplos dos termos citados no trabalho são baseados no Tesauro SP/NES.
Translation and adaptation of thesauri
Abstract
Study about theoretical and practical aspects of translation and adaptation of thesauri, with the aid of Information Science, Linguistics and Translation Science. The translation of descriptors and non-descriptors is analysed as a stablishment of equivalent term from source-language to target-language. The linguistic principles are aplied at the translation from the source-language to the target-language. It is treated some aspects related totranslation problems, for instance: grammatical rubs;linguistic equivalence; synonymy; homonymy; polysemy; cognates and false cognates; loan termsand coined terms. The examples of cited terms are based on SPINES Thesaurus.
