As relações psicológicas entre usuários e bibliotecários são complexas e influenciadas por variáveis de cada um deles, além de estarem sujeitas às influências do ambiente. O comportamento do usuário tem alguma influência no do bibliotecário e vice-versa, podendo conduzir a um relacionamento muitas vezes não positivo para ambos. Para tornar essas relações mais adequadas, é necessário planejar, para modificar não só o comportamento de usuários e de bibliotecários, mas também o currículo usado para formação do bibliotecário. As possíveis influências dessas variáveis precisam ser objeto de pesquisa no Brasil.
Psycological aspects in the relationship between librarian and the library users
Abstract
The psychological relationships between the library user and the librarians are complex and they are influenced by variables of each one and also of the environment. The behavior of the user has some impact on the librarian responsive ness and the behavior of the second has influence on the first. This may affect the relationship between both. In order to have more suitable relationships it is necessary to plan in order to modify user's and librarian's behaviors, and the curriculum used in library schools. The possibile influences of these variables must be object of research in Brazil.
