Abstract

São apresentados alguns aspectos concernentes à editoração de Bragantia, revista científica do Instituto Agronômico de Campinas, da Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento do Estado de São Paulo. Relatam-se dados históricos de sua criação e evolução, mediante análise do conteúdo de seus 44 volumes anuais editados. Sua penetração e divulgação/são abordados, destacando-se a organização atual de sua editoração, desde a recepção dos originais até a entrega do volume impresso, passando pelo tratamento científico a técnico dos textos.

Editing of the journal Bragantia: history, evolution and present organization

Abstract

Some aspects of the editing of Bragantia, the scientific journal of the Instituto Agronômico de Campinas, Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento of São Paulo State, are presented. Historic data since its creation are reported, as well as its evolution according to an analysis on the contents of the 44 annual volumes edited. Aspects of the journal penetration and divulgation are also discussed, showing its present organization, including the Editorial Board, the procedures for reception, scientific and technical treatment of the manuscripts, and delivery of the printed issue.
