Citações constituem importante fonte de informações para pesquisadores e servem por isto mesmo como instrumento de avaliação do comportamento da Literatura científica. Análises das citações bibliográficas da literatura de Química foram desenvolvidas, tendo como objetivo conhecer o seu comportamento; determinar a vida média dos trabalhos citados; definir a frente de pesquisas e o grupo de elite, estabelecer relações internas entre os assuntos e os autores através do acoplamento bibliográfico.
Abstract
Citations are an important source of information to research workers and they serve as a tool for evaluating the behaviour of scientific literature. Bibliographic citations analyses in the literature of Chemistry were made in order to leoa to the knowledge o f its behaviour; to determine the average Kfe of papers cited; to define its research front and its elite; to establish internal relations between subjects and authors through bibliographic coupling.
