Abstract

With the increase in publications, it is necessary to create public policies that help in the process of journal evaluation and in the coordination of the organization of scientific research. Scientometric studies provide the identification and measurement of the productivity of publications, not only in the field of physiotherapy, but also in other areas of health. Therefore, the objective of this study was to identify the profile of scientific publications on physical therapy rehabilitation in individuals with cerebral palsy. Methods: The search strategy in the Web of Science platform used the following combinations of keywords: Physiotherapy AND Cerebral Palsy. For the search of articles in PUBMED, the following terms were used: (("Cerebral Palsy/rehabilitation"[Mesh] OR "Cerebral Palsy/therapy"[Mesh])) AND "Physical Therapy Modalities" [Mesh], published in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results: 1986 journals/publications were found in the initial search and 690 were selected. The highest number of publications occurred in 2020, followed by 2017-2018. Publications were found to be most prevalent in developed countries and in the English language. 79 types of physical therapy approaches were found, published in 196 different journals. Final considerations: The importance of identifying which types of interventions are being used most and where to find these publications. This study found that the publications have a higher prevalence in developed countries and in the English language, mainly in the North American and European regions.
