NEW OPEN ACCESS POLICY FROM THE PORTUGUESE FOUNDATION FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

This communication discusses the process of designing and implementing the new Open Access Policy from Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation, which is compliant with Plan S. The aim is to ensure that all publications it funds are available in immediate open access, with copyright retained by the authors themselves. The policy was drawn up by a multidisciplinary team, which developed a broad implementation plan including support, communication and training components as well as digital services to ensure compliance and adherence to the policy among researchers.
