Metodologia conceitual para a prevenção de erros no serviço de referência

Desenvolvimento de uma tipologia dos erros que podem ocorrer em qualquer das fases do processo de referência, com uma metodologia paralela para a prevenção destes erros. A tipologia, bem como a metodologia foram baseadas numa ampla revisão analítica da literatura nos campos do processo de referência, avaliação e teste de sistemas de recuperação e armazenamento de informação, estudo do uso de catálogos e levantamentos da literatura. É apresentada uma revisão da literatura na área de pesquisa em referência; um estudo comparativo, analisando as similaridades entre os diversos campos envolvidos pela investigação é também apresentado. O desenvolvimento da tipologia e da metodologia, baseado no material revisado na literatura dos campos cobertos pela investigação, é discutido sob cada uma das fases do processo de referência.

Abstract
Development of a typology of errors which may occurin any stage of the reference process with a parallel methodology for error prevention. This typology and methodology is based on a comprehensive, analytical review of the literature in the fields of reference,evaluation and testing of information storage andretrieval systems, catalog use studies, and literature searching. A review of the literature with the findings of research in the field of reference is given. A comparative study, analysing the similarities among the fields covered by the investigation is presented. The development of the typology and of the methodology based on the review of the literature of the fields covered by the investigation, is made under each one of the steps of the reference process.
