Sistema de Informação em Arte e Atividades Culturais (Iara): aspectos políticos, institucionais, técnicos e tecnológicos

Resumo

Planejamento e implantação do Sistema de Informação em Arte e Atividades Culturais (Iara), desenvolvido pela Fundação Nacional de Arte (Funarte), em abordagem que considera os fatores intervenientes no processo automatizado. O panorama das atividades de informação toma como referência
a evolução e os problemas de redes e sistemas de informação nacionais. No nível institucional, o projeto do sistema teve como pilares as características da Funarte, o diagnóstico das bases de dados, a natureza das coleções e a demanda de informações do Centro de Documentação da Funarte. São
apresentados, ao final, os objetivos, as estratégias e as principais linhas de atuação do Iara.

Information System on Arts and Cultural Activities: political, institutional, technical and technological aspects

Abstract
Planning and establishment of Information on Arts and Cultural activities (Iara) system developed by the National Foundation on Arts (Funarte) under the approach of the intervening factors on the automated process. The overview of the information activities considered the evolution and the problems of
national networks and information systems. At the institutional level the design of the system was oriented to the characteristics of Funarte, the diagnosis of its data-bases, the
nature of the collections and the information demand of the Documentation Center of this Foundation. At the end, the paper
presents the objectives, the strategies and the main activities of the Iara.
