Abstract

When considering the technical infrastructure of unexpected flows of videographic texts (Lotz, Eklund, & Soroka, 2022), it is assumed that a deeper exploration is necessary regarding human actions within the emerging socio-cultural dynamics of the multi-platform audiovisual ecosystem. Building upon the imagistic approach of the Nordic noir subgenre, this study aims to apply analytical theoretical-methodological protocol (Escosteguy, 2007) in order to map the articulations between the production/ distribution of the series "The Chestnut Man" (2021) and its instances of appropriation/ interpretation in consumption, using for this the Cultural Circuit (Johnson, 2010; Hall, 2016). Therefore, it proposes an approach to audiovisual media linked to the idea of culture as a record of ways of life – an exploratory and analytical research, which seeks to comprehend the connections between emerging distribution dynamics for audiovisual collections and new mechanisms of expanding the communication process, through a combination of different methodological tools

    Pesquisadora da imagem, é professora do curso de Rádio e TV da Universidade Federal do Maranhão - UFMA, doutora em Psicologia Social pela UERJ, mestre em Artes Visuais pela UNESP e colaboradora vinculada ao ETC - Comunicação, Tecnologia e Economia (UFMA/CNPq), ao Observatório de Experiências Expandidas em Comunicação - ObEEC (DCS/UFMA) e ao Núcleo de Pesquisa e Produção de Imagem - NUPPI (IFMA/UFMA). Coordena o projeto de pesquisa “[Gênero] Audiovisual Distribuído: políticas do ver, do imaginar e regime híbrido de Imagem” (financiado pela FAPEMA) e, como produtora, tem interesses nas áreas da fotografia, do audiovisual, dos materiais gráficos e das interfaces digitais diversas.
