This article discusses the role of users and their collaborative practices on Web 2.0 within the technological paradigm and the culture of media convergence. This is an epistemological investigation based on a review of the literature. As a result, one realizes that the act of sharing still confronts the idea that information is synonymous with power. And from this perspective, the role of the user regarding Digital Platforms should be examined carefully, considering the supremacy of large Web companies that act to restrict the alleged infocommunicative freedoms while assuring specific areas of influence where confidence in the systematization of the answers is almost comparable to Ariadne's thread.
