Efforts to synthesize evidence have been pointing to the advancement of organized forms of disinformation and denial of scientific knowledge about global climate change. In several countries around the world, there is a strong debate about the diffusion of these narratives in the online environment and their political, social and economic impacts. In this work, we carried out a scoping review applied to the Web of Science and Scopus databases, in order to map how the international academic literature has been describing the relationships between science denialism on climate change and the use of disinformation campaigns in the 21st century, as well as as the possible gaps and notes of these studies for the research agenda. In all the media types studied in the 31 selected articles, a predominance of discourses contrary to the scientific consensus on the subject was identified, leveraged by disinformation campaigns organized, including by government actors. We have observed a significant growth in the field in recent years, as well as strategic transformations in denialist communications, tending to a greater dispute of public opinion about science
