O "social" nas mudanças climáticas

Resumo

Considerando que a noção de Antropoceno evoca as implicações da ação humana sobre o clima e os efeitos de retorno do clima sobre as condições de vida na Terra, o texto destaca os eixos de discussão sociológica no debate sobre mudanças climáticas tal como eles vêm sendo formulados na perspectiva de quatro subdisciplinas: a sociologia dos problemas sociais, a sociologia da ciência, a sociologia das controvérsias e a sociologia da ação. Seu objetivo é o de interpelar o sentido e o lugar do “social” nos estudos correntemente elaborados por solicitação das instituições internacionais envolvidas no tratamento das mudanças climáticas, contrastando-os com a riqueza das possibilidades do debate sociológico que independe das instâncias burocráticas de governo
