This research uses bibliometric techniques to identify the main characteristics of the production of scientific articles on Workforce Dimensioning – DFT – and its relationship with big data. With an applied nature, qualitative approach and exploratory character, the study uses a survey of studies on dimensioning and big data, recovering a total of 87 scientific articles published between 1992 to 2020. The objective of this research is to present a support framework for scientific production for the evaluation of the DFT. The main contribution was the systematization of a consolidated theoretical reference of DFT for the composition of a big data environment. The research generated a perspective of continuity by technological means to solve problems of public management and productivity of individual capacity.
