Technology has been a driver for the growth and prominence of many organizations in recent years. Digital transformation is directly associated with both the growth and sustainability of leading organizations around the world. Organizations are challenged to understand and evaluate the dynamics of the digital economy rules and undergo digital transformation to stay relevant in the digital economy. The objective of this study is to conduct a bibliometric survey on digital transformation, identifying the most relevant and emerging correlated topics that are influencing the business value addition of organizations. The methodology used was a literature review employing the Scopus database and the VOSviewer and Gephi tools for analysis and generation of keyword co-occurrence networks, co-citation of references, bibliographic coupling of documents, and identification of emerging issues. To deepen the knowledge about the identified topics a content analysis was performed, among other techniques. It was found that the implementation of digital transformation in the organization depends on the maturity level in electronic governance of the organization and that the use of an IT governance framework helps in a successful implementation.
