Abstract

Este estudio preliminar, basado en discusiones realizadas en el Sector de Publicaciones Científicas (Sedit) del Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (Ibict) durante el segundo semestre de 2023 y el primer semestre de 2024 y en revisiones por pares de la revista Ciência da Informação, aborda la ética en la revisión por pares, a partir de métricas relacionadas con la imparcialidad y el profesionalismo. Identifica los desafíos éticos a los que se enfrentan editores y evaluadores, como la confidencialidad, el conflicto de intereses y la imparcialidad. También menciona directrices internacionales que orientan la integridad del proceso de evaluación. Utilizando un enfoque descriptivo y cualitativo, el estudio presenta un análisis preliminar de 17 artículos, destacando los principios éticos y sus aplicaciones, haciendo hincapié en la importancia de la evaluación ética para la credibilidad científica.
