The relationship between archival science and the General Data Protection Law
an analysis of Enap courses on LGPD

This article analyzed the relationships between archival science and the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709, of August 14, 2018) through the contents of LGPD courses offered by Enap (National School of Public Administration) to Brazilian citizens; in particular to public servants. We chose the Enap course as the main object of this work because we recognize the scope and importance of the courses offered to public servants nationwide. The main objective is to identify whether Enap's LGPD courses present in their syllabus the relevant archival attributions in the LGPD. In this sense, the time frame was the period from the publication of the LGPD (General Data Protection Law), August 14, 2018, to the present day; the spatial clipping was limited to the national territory, however, we used the international context of the emergence of data protection laws in Europe and the Americas to understand the evolution of national debates on LGPD. In this sense, we observe the great importance of Enap courses, both in the training of public servants and in the training of Brazilian citizens with regard to knowledge related to public administration. Regarding the LGPD course, we observed, in the contents of the courses, few references to archival concepts and some conceptual inaccuracies.
