A prática de “orientar vocações” e os sentidos atuais do trabalho | The practice of ‘vocational guidance’ and the current meanings of work

Abstract

Resumo O artigo problematiza a prática de orientar vocações no panorama atual, em que o trabalho torna-se uma referência menos sólida para os indivíduos, e onde desafios específicos referentes ao tema da vulnerabilidade social são lançados. Apostamos em outra modalidade de intervenção, denominada Análise do Vocacional, como uma alternativa mais implicada com as angústias fomentadas pelos problemas da falta de emprego e a destituição das garantias sociais. Uma intervenção que produz/provoca o estranhamento das formas naturalizadas de lidar com tais questões, de modo a abrir espaço para a invenção de novos possíveis.

Abstract The point of this article is to discuss vocational guidance in the current panorama, where work becomes a less solid reference for individuals, and where specific challenges on the theme of social vulnerability are placed. We believe in another kind of intervention, denominated Vocational Analysis, as an alternative more involved with the anguish produced by lack of employment and the destitution of social guarantees. An intervention that produces/provokes a denaturalization of the crystallized forms of dealing with such questions, making room for the invention of new possibilities.
